To err is human, to edit, divine.

I was using Grammarly online tool for corrections when I spotted this quote:

To err is human, to edit, divine 😇.

I further spotted a quote for the writers: To write is human, to edit, divine. 😁

Here are the first 2 thoughts from a writer's perspective:

1) Writers write and that's not complete yet. There is more to that, which we call Editing

So there are many wonderful correction tools such as Grammarly but we don't rely on it fully, do we? Grammarly could be the preliminary to publishing our writings. Often there are some corrections in Grammarly that we may disagree with.

So we have to make sure that Grammarly doesn't become our editor, but remains a good assistant.

2) Reading Aloud what we've written is the most essential aspect of editing.

I've heard of this useful tip from many writers and am benefitting personally too. Reading aloud helps in understanding the appropriateness of the used words and sentences, and gives the perspective of readers too. This is also to embed our voice (or get near it) in our writings.

3) From the perspective of Self-Development, we often use that phrase when we commit errors, and that also deserves "editing" i.e. taking the responsibility for improving them. This is not to imply perfectionism, that life should be devoid of errors, but to take the charge of modifying those habitual patterns that have been formed by us knowingly or unknowingly, rather than choosing to live with those errrrs....

So, are you ready to Write (and Edit) the Book Of Your Life? 😋😊👍
